Leah Wilson

Leah Wilson joined the Menno Simons College community in 2014 beginning her studies in International Development. During her time as a student she held multiple roles with the Menno Simons College Student Association and formed an on-campus student group that led efforts to promote local and global literacy. A field-course in 2018 took Leah to Israel and Palestine where her passions for human rights and transitional justice expanded. She is passionate about experiential learning and, as a student, completed two practicum placements and was selected as a Youth United@Winnipeg work-study participant. Leah graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Rights (Gold Medal) and International Development Studies, and is a Mayor's Medal Recipient.

Leah's areas of academic interest include human rights in the Middle East, tranistional justice, and Western justice reform. Leah hopes to pursue a Master's degree in her fields of study.

In her spare time, you can find Leah playing ultimate, coaching youth baseketball, travelling and trying new ice cream flavors.
