Alumni Giving

Your continued support is what keeps Menno Simons College growing, shaping the lives of our students, faculty, and staff.

Alumni give to MSC for various reasons. Some recognize that their education was supported by past alumni and private donors and out of gratitude wish to give back. Others desire to support their department because of the mentorship and life-long relationships they developed while in university. Still others wish to contribute to research and development at MSC, further strengthening the institution for generations to come.

Your gifts make it possible for us to:

  • develop bright learning spaces and equip classrooms with current learning technology
  • provide students with financial support through scholarships and bursaries
  • host guest speakers and community events to raise awareness of current issues

"The lunch presentations by past practica students encouraged me in my own choice of ways to have a meaningful practicum experience."
      — Andrew Wychnenka (CRS)

"Receiving scholarships during my time at MSC accomplished two objectives: it rewarded my hard work and allowed me to buy groceries."
      — Reta Chapman (CRS)

Any gift, regardless of the size, makes a difference. For example, a gift of $3,000 allows us to host a visiting scholar, while $1,000 enables a student to visit and attend a conference at the United Nations; $100 can help a student purchase required textbooks.

For your convenience, we accept one-time gifts and reoccurring gifts. If you have questions, please contact Dori Zerbe Cornelsen, Director of Development, at 204.487.3300 ext. 610 or development:@:cmu.ca.
