Conference & Workshop Bursaries
Menno Simons College offers local learning bursaries and travel bursaries for full-time students to attend conferences and other learning events. The purpose of this bursary program is to encourage and support student leadership in issues related to international development and conflict resolution.
Local Learning Bursary
Local learning bursaries are available to full-time students planning to attend Conflict Resolution Studies and International Development Studies related learning events held in Winnipeg or Southern Manitoba. This bursary will cover 50% of registration fees, up to a maximum of $100.
Students applying for a local learning bursary must submit:
- An Application Form
- A Recent Grade Report
- A Written Proposal
The proposal should include relevant details of the local learning event and how the student believes it connects with their International Development Studies or Conflict Resolution Studies course(s) or degree.

Travel Bursary
Menno Simons College offers travel bursaries of up to $300 each for full-time students planning to attend Conflict Resolution Studies and International Development Studies related conferences which are held outside of Winnipeg.
Students applying for a travel bursary must submit:
- An Application Form
- A Recent Grade Report
- A Waiver Form
- A Written Proposal
